Lovat Ladies Shinty Club can take nothing for granted ahead of tomorrow’s Challenge Cup final against Inverness, according to manager James Gallacher.

The Kiltarlity outfit have been dominant in the Mowi North Division Two this season, winning 10 out of their 11 league games.

That included two wins over tomorrow’s opponents, but Gallacher does not think their results have necessarily been representative of the performances of the opposition.

“To be honest, I think a lot of the games have actually flattered us,” Gallacher admitted.

“We’ve done well, there’s no doubt about it, the girls have put a lot of work into it, they’ve been training hard.

“They seem to be up for it, but we’re scoring goals. We’ve got Laura Gallagher and Fiona Urquhart up front, and they know exactly where the target is.

“That’s making a big difference, if you can score goals in the league, it helps a lot."
