The world's biggest amateur golf tournament will see 144 of the top non-professional players from across the world compete at Nairn Golf Club next week.

US Open competitor Sandy Scott and Fraser Fotheringham have also qualified to compete at their home course when the event swings into action on Monday.

Calum Scott (16) will be the first golfer to begin his campaign at 7am and will play with Luke O'Neill of Ireland and Jordan Sundborg of England.

Fotheringham begins his campaign at 10:34am and partners fellow Scots Jack

Broun of Turnberry and Derek Paton of Dunniker Park.

Sandy Scott tees off at 2.13pm with England's Jack Dyer and Mark Power from Ireland.

All 144 players will take part in two qualifying rounds with the top 64 players qualifying for the match play section.

As well as earning exemptions into The Open, US Open and by tradition, an invite to The Masters Tournament, this year’s champion will be also given the opportunity to tee it up in an event on the European Tour.

Those golfers reaching the semi-finals of the championship will be invited to play in a Challenge Tour event.
