Nairn golfer Sandy Scott knocked out of US Amateur Golf Championship

Nairn golfer Sandy Scott's dreams of winning the US Amateur Golf Championship are over after losing his last 32 clash.

The Texas Tech student lost to David Chatfield who progressed to the last 16 by two up with one to play at Bandon Dunes in Oregon.

Scott won his last 64 clash defeating Brayden Garrison by three up with two to play before exiting the tournament in the next round.

Scott was one of only two Europeans to reach the last 32 of the competition.
