The Inverness youngsters will travel to Nairn on Sunday to face the newly rebranded Nairn St Ninians Women for their first taste of action in eight months.

Leading up to the fixture, ICT Development’s players will undoubtedly be excited – but they may not be able to match Munro’s enthusiasm.

“Never mind the girls, there’s a lot of excitement from me!” Munro admitted.

“I can hardly sleep, all the pepper pots are getting put in a 3-4-3, a 4-3-3, a 3-5-2, all of that. It will be nice to get them back on the pitch again, it will be nice for everybody.

“Since we came back in August they have all been really positive and sticking together, we’ve got a good bubble set up now.

“Some of these girls are coming from schools in Mallaig or Gairloch, and a lot of them haven’t really had the chance to play 11-a-side football. They have mostly been playing with the boys in seven-a-side tournaments.

“We’ve got four or five youngsters in the side that will be playing in Nairn on Sunday, and I’m sure it will be their first taste of a full game of football.”
