Nairn County have confirmed that a person associated with the club has tested positive for Covid-19.

The club were due to host an Inverness Caledonian Thistle XI at Station Park tonight in a friendly match, where the plan had been to let 100 fans into the ground for the first time since March.

However, that match has now been cancelled, with no confirmation over whether Saturday's Highland League opener will be affected.

Nairn County's statement also read: "We are working with the Scottish Government and NHS to ensure the safety of everyone at the club.

"We have advised the SHFL Secretary who has in turn advised the SHFL Covid Committee and we will continue to update as any further information becomes available.

"We thank you for your understanding and patience at this time."
