Nairn Dunbar golfer Kaci Robertson become North of Scotland Junior champion

Nairn Dunbar Golf Club player Kaci Robertson was crowned North of Scotland Junior champion.

She received the Hannah McCook trophy after claiming victory at Golspie Golf Club on Monday.

She took victory by scoring an 83 and was two shots ahead of her nearest rivals Katrina Tan of Nairn Golf Club and Emma Robertson of Thurso Golf Club.

Emma Durrand of Thurso Golf Club claimed the handicap title with a nett score of 73 to lift the Elizabeth Munro Trophy. She was one shot ahead of scratch winner Robertson who ended up on a nett 74.

Meanwhile Scott Mackenzie of Muir of Ord Golf Club lifted the Spence Trophy after claiming the men’s title after initially being tied with Nairn Golf Club member James Howie on 75.

Nairn Dunbar Golf Club player Declan Fraser finished two shots behind with a 77 to claim third place.

Mackenzie also won the crystal medal for the lowest scratch aggregate under–16 score.

Thurso Golf Club member Ben Durrand lifted the Alister Paterson Trophy for the lowest handicap score with a nett 67.

Andrew Matheson of Nairn Dunbar Golf Club was second with a nett 69

Calum Howie of Nairn Golf Club claimed third place with a nett score of 70.

The prizegiving of trophies will not take place until October.

The ceremony is scheduled to take place after the junior matchplay competition that is scheduled to be held at Forres Golf Club.
