DARTS - Inverness Summer Darts League Doubles Championship takes place as Nairn duo take top title
Seaforth Club duo Michael MacLean and Jack McNeilly claimed the Inverness Summer Darts League Doubles title when they beat George Smith and Steven Ross 3-0 in the final.
Losing semi-finalists were Bruce McDonald and Dave Clayton of Innes Power who lost 3-1 to MacLean and McNeilly, and Colin Fraser and Marc Henderson who lost 3-0 to Ross and Smith.
The B League title was won by Jack Shepherd and Keith Manson who defeated team-mates Lewis McCloy and Ruairidh MacLeod 3-1. Losing semi-finalists were Martin Duncan and Derek Brindle along with Alan Greig and Mark Greig.
The C League Winners were Matty MacLeod and James Morrison playing who beat team-mates Colin Johnston and James Johnston 3-0. Losing in the semis were Allan McDonald and Gordon Duff along with Daniel Mullen and John MacLeod.
Over at The Raigmore Motel coming out on top were Raigmore Red pairing of Troy Cooper and Jordan Morrison defeating team-mates Michael Chisholm and Reece Shaw 2-0. Losing in the Semis were Danny Hughes and Aiden Ogg along with Daniel MacLennan and Kyle Russell.
Meanwhile, darts players from across the Highlands travelled to Elgin to take part in the Courtney McBain Shield.
Derek MacLean claimed the title as he defeated Jack McNeilly 6-4 in the final.
Losing Semi-finalists were Craig Quinn losing 5-2 to MacLean and 2024 champion Danny Trueman losing 5-3 to McNeilly.
In the Ladies Competition, Sarah Stephen defeated Ann Brown 5-4.
Losing Semi-finalists were Shannon Adams losing 4-3 to Stephen and Mandy Anderson losing 4-1 to Brown..
Friday saw the Mixed Pairs event won by George Smith and Mandy Brown who defeated Barry Summers and Sarah Stephen 5-4.
Sunday saw the Men's and Ladies Pairs events. Mens Pairs went to Craig Quinn and Ritchie Lewis 6- 5 victors over George Smith and Don MacLean Jr in the final.
The Consolation Pairs went to Ryan Prosser and Mark Middleton who beat Darryl Faulkner and John Donalson 3-0.
Ladies Pairs went to Hollie Smith and Courtney McBain 5-4 over Mandy Brown and Shannon Adam.
