Nairn County's young stars can reach top of Highland League – Main

Nairn County veteran Glenn Main believes that the young stars at the club have the potential to play for any team in the Highland League.

There has been a radical shift in personnel at Wee County in the last few years, with a raft of young players being given a chance in the first team by manager Ronnie Sharp.

It has not always been successful, with a sizeable winless run last season leading to Nairn slipping two spots in the final table to 11th.

However, this year Sharp’s side have gone from strength to strength, beating Brora 1-0 and challenging for the top six.

For Main, the project over the last few years is now paying off, and he thinks some of his new teammates can go as far as they want in the division.

“The likes of Max Ewan are blossoming this year,” Main explained.
