He was awarded the accolade after receiving 78 per cent of votes on an online poll for his strike in the 2-0 win against Strathspey Thistle in Grantown on January 11.

His free kick from outside the penalty box from the right wing sailed straight into the top left corner of the net.

Davidson signed for Nairn County from Brora Rangers in November.

Meanwhile, Nairn County’s trip to Pitmedden to face Formartine United was put on ice after the game scheduled for Wednesday night was postponed due to a frozen pitch.

Nairn will not return to action until next weekend when they are scheduled to travel to Fort William at Claggan Park.
