Nairn County confirm that midfielder is ruled out for rest of the Highland League season after undergoing operation to foot at hospital in Glasgow
NAIRN County have confirmed midfielder Kenny MacInnes is out for the rest of the season after undergoing an operation to his foot.
The 20-year-old underwent an operation to carry out a bone graft to his heel at Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow prior to Christmas.
He is now in the midst of a six-week recovery period, after which he will require a second operation to repeat the procedure on his other foot.
The club released a statement which said he is not expected to return to action until next season.
He said: “Once Kenny has underwent the second operation, it is anticipated that he will require four months of rehabilitation with our chartered physiotherapist, Greig Smith.
“Which means that the former Scotland schoolboys international is targeting a return to full fitness in time to join the squad for pre-season training in the summer.”
MacInnes signed for Nairn County 12 months ago after joining from League Two outfit Elgin City.
He previously had a loan spell with Nairn County during the second half of the 2022/23 season.
