NAIRN County started their pre-season preparations as they put in a respectable performance against Premiership outfit St Johnstone at Station Park.
St Johnstone took the lead after 23 minutes when Adama Sidibeh charged down the right wing and his cross found Jackson Mychreest at the edge of the six-yard box who turned his defender and fired into the net.
They doubled their advantage seven minutes later when a cross into the box from Matt Smith found the head of Liam Parker who nodded the ball past Dylan Maclean.
Nairn County did pull one back midway through the second half when Andrew Greig fired a home a thunderous effort when he connected with a corner kick from the edge of the box to make it 2-1.
But St Johnstone restored their two-goal advantage when in a counter attack, Stevie May played the ball into the box to find Taylor Steven unchallenged who fired home from close range.
Saints killed the game off two minutes later when Sam McClelland got on to another cross into the box to fire home.
David Keltjens scored the goal of the game with 10 minutes remaining when he cut in from the left wing before firing from the tightest of angles from outside the box to find the net.
