NAIRN County fell to defeat in their first home match in the Highland League with a disappointing loss to Deveronvale at Station Park.

The visitors took the lead after six minutes when Dane Ballard fired a drive past goalkeeper Will Counsell.

Deveronvale doubled their advantage on the stroke of half time when Robert Scott with a sensational strike from 25-yards out.

The loss came after Nairn lost 4–2 to Lossiemouth in the North of Scotland Cup three days previously.
