Nairn County face tough test at Station Park on Saturday as they take on Aberdeen outfit Banks O’Dee
NAIRN County face a tough challenge at Station Park when they take on Highland League rivals Banks O’Dee on Saturday afternoon.
The last time the two teams met, Banks O’Dee hit Nairn County for six as they ran riot with a 6-0 victory in the Highland League Cup First Round in November.
However, manager Ross Tokely will have taken encouragement from their 2-2 draw with Clachnacuddin last weekend, despite conceding an injury time equaliser which cost them all three points.
Clachnacuddin are at home on Saturday as they face Inverurie Locos at Grant Street Park.
Elsewhere, league leaders Brechin City face a tough prospect on Saturday when they are set to take on Fraserburgh at Glebe Park.
Brechin are four points clear at the top at the midway point of the campaign and will be looking to get back into action after the match last week was postponed.
Fraserburgh will be looking for a morale boosting victory as they continue to prepare for arguably the biggest game in their history when they face Rangers at Ibrox in the Scottish Cup fourth round next month.
Brora Rangers will be looking to pounce on any slip up from Brechin when they travel to Pitmedden to face Formartine United at North Lodge Park.
There is an early kick-off in Banff when Deveronvale are set to take on Wick Academy at Princess Royal Park with the game scheduled to start at 1.30pm.
Strathspey Thistle could move off the bottom of the table if they defeat Forres Mechanics at Mosset Park and other results go their way elsewhere.
Keith are set to take on struggling Rothes at Kynoch Park with fellow strugglers Lossiemouth set to face Turriff United at Grant Park.
Champions Buckie Thistle will look to continue their disappointing title defence when they take on Huntly at Victoria Park.
Buckie find themselves in eighth place in the Highland League with their title defence as good as over, having already lost eight matches this season.
