Centre forward Ciaran Young and defender John Fowler will both head out to Claggan Park.

Young will spend one month at Fort William while Fowler will spend the rest of the season at the Lochaber outfit.

Young was previously at Inverness Athletic and Nairn St Ninian on loan this season. He has scored 25 goals for the club and has made 83 appearances so far.

Fowler spent the first half of the season on loan at Nairn St Ninian. The 17-year-old defender made his debut for Nairn County in the 4-0 win away at Strathspey Thistle in March.

Fort William were relegated from the Highland League in 2022 after finishing bottom and were unable to field a team in the play-off against Banks O’Dee who were awarded automatic promotion.

They dropped down to the North Caledonian League where they find themselves in eighth place in the 12-team division.

In November, Fort William were refused an SFA entry level licence due to having no floodlights at Claggan Park. As a result, they are now ineligible for promotion to the Highland League.

Fort William have appealed the decision with the SFA.

Nairn County will look to get back to action this weekend after the Highland League has suffered wipeout in the last two weeks.

They are set to face Forres Mechanics at Station Park on Saturday at 3pm.
