After fundraising to build Hamish’s Splashpad at Nairn Links, TeamHamish has now entered phase two, where their focus is on the area of the Links currently occupied by the putting, crazy mini golf and the adjacent banking and grassed areas.

To aid their fundraising efforts and help shine more light on the magnificent work done by Sam and Lily Hey, Nairn County have designed and produced a special TeamHamish football strip that they will use during the 2022/23 season.

The shirt is inspired by Hamish’s Splashpad at the Links and a colourful chevron design of Sam's wife, Susan's favourite dress.

Nairn County will be donating £10 from every sale of an adult shirt and £5 from the sale of a kid's shirt to TeamHamish.

In addition, the club will be dedicating a home league match to fundraising for the phase two project. This will include kids’ activities and special fundraising activities.

Nairn County Chairman Mark Kelman, said: “We are extremely excited and proud to be launching a special TeamHamish shirt for the season ahead.

As a club we are committed to supporting the Nairn community and to be able to launch our first ever charity third kit and for it to support TeamHamish is something very special for us.

Their plans for the putting green area of the Links are brilliant and we want to help in whatever way we can.”

Sam Hey of TeamHamish, said: “We are absolutely delighted that Nairn County have chosen to support TeamHamish during the upcoming season.

"Working in partnership with the community of Nairn is one of our fundamental principles, and this is particularly important as we develop our Phase Two proposals.

"We were truly amazed when we were presented with the idea for the TeamHamish shirt.

"The bright, colourful, and very distinctive design inspiration really is such a fitting tribute to never forgotten Hamish and Susan.”

"Shirts will be on sale in person for the first-time during the Nairn Highland Games where the club has a stall and are also available online."
