Maclean wants to keep Nairn County's home form strong against Highland League leaders Fraserburgh

Nairn County goalkeeper Dylan Maclean is determined to help create a fortress-like reputation at Station Park this season.

The 23-year-old construction worker is used to building sturdy structures and plans to be the unbreakable last line of defence this weekend against league leaders Fraserburgh.

A third home victory from three would cement the Wee County’s growing reputation as dark horses in the title race.

The Broch, though, may have something to say about that. With six wins from seven, Mark Cowie’s team are now the league’s only remaining unbeaten team.

Maclean’s performances, particularly in a shock home win against Brora Rangers, have drawn rich praise amid Nairn’s five wins from six.

“We’re confident and playing well,” Maclean said.

“We’ve been on a terrific run. The only exception was our defeat to Inverurie Locos, but we’re looking forward to coming back home."
