Munlochy discus thrower Kirsty Law misses out on medal at Commonwealth Games in Birmingham

KIRSTY Law finished in seventh place in the discus at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

The Munlochy athlete managed a throw of 54 metres and 38 centimetres at the Alexander Stadium on Tuesday.

Chioma Onyekwere from Nigeria won gold with a season's best throw of 61.70.

England's Jade Lally took silver with a throw of 58.42.

Obiageri Amaechi of Nigeria claimed bronze with 56.99.
