BRIAN MacLeod admits Clachnacuddin are facing the toughest transfer market environment he can recall as they seek to strengthen for the new season.

The Lilywhites manager wants to add experienced campaigners to his youthful ranks but has been knocking his head against a brick wall given the greater financial muscle of rival north clubs.

Clach’s ambitious youth set-up is generating talent for the future, but MacLeod is conscious that, in the short-term, the Merkinch youngsters need seasoned assistance on the park.
