The 19-year-old has agreed terms to join the Grantown-on-Spey outfit who are 13th in the Highland League.

Chalmers came through the youth system at Caley Thistle and has also had various loan spells in the Highland League.

He played with Clachnacuddin in 2018 and was one of nine players who went on loan from Caley Thistle to Fort William at the start of the season.

Speaking after signing a deal with Strathspey Thistle, Chalmers says he was impressed with the set-up at Seafield Park and is looking forward to getting back into action.

“I am delighted to get the move finalised and look forward to getting back on the pitch playing,” he said.

“I have been training with the boys for a couple of weeks and have really enjoyed it.

“I have admired the way they have played football in the last couple of seasons and feel I can fit in straight away with their style”.
