McNab has played for a number of Highland League and junior clubs during his football career including Clachnacuddin, Strathspey Thistle, Forres Mechanics, Nairn St Ninian, Inverness City, Huntly, Rothes and Wick Academy.

He also played for Ross County during the early part of his career.

Nairn County are also looking at midfielder Joe Gauld who was released by Ross County last season.

He played in the 3-0 defeat by Ross County where he impressed Sharp who was keen to look at him further.

Nairn suffered two postponements to friendlies this week. Their match against junior outfit New Elgin due to be played on Tuesday was cancelled at the request of their opponents.

Meanwhile, this Wednesday’s scheduled tie against Forres Thistle has been moved to Wednesday, July 17. The game will be played at Logie Park with a 7.30pm kick-off.

Nairn are still scheduled to play at Burghead Thistle on Tuesday and at home to St Andrews United next Saturday at Station Park.

Nairn picked up a morale-boosting pre-season victory when they defeated Lowland League outfit East Stirlingshire 2-0 at the University of Stirling.

An own-goal strike from Seamus McConaghy gave them the win.
