Shaun Morrison helped himself to a hat-trick, with the other goals coming from Connal Ewan and Callum Johnston as the visitors ran riot.

The result also ended Nairn County's undefeated start to the Highland League campaign.

But Sharp says it was no more than they deserved.

"It was a terrible performance, the result just took care of itself, the performance from start to finish was terrible.

"I didn't see it coming after the first two games, we didn't turn up at all. We lost the physical battle and the mental battle out there. We couldn't compete with them.

"It's a mental thing, you have to be ready every week to play in this league.

"The players may have patted themselves on the back and thought they did well in first two games.

"We thought we would be fine, but we weren't, we were just terrible."

Forres Mechanics boss Steven Macdonald said it was a ruthless performance from his team.

"I am obviously delighted. We got a dream start and really dominated the first part of the game. We created a lot of chances.

"I was really pleased with the way the boys went about it. It was about managing the game in the second half."
