Main had a feeling he would find the net for Nairn

Gregg Main was delighted to get back in among the goals for Nairn County last weekend after his long injury lay-off.

The midfielder returned from a serious knee injury at the start of last season, but broke down again in September in Wee County’s Scottish Cup clash against Beith – where he scored before being forced off.

Main has come back into the mix in the last couple of months, and officially got back on the scoresheet for the first time from the penalty spot as Nairn beat Lossiemouth 1-0.

“I was delighted with that, because my daughter was in the stand,” Main explained.

“When I scored I went over and gave her a cuddle. I said to her as well that I had a feeling I was going to score."
