The 21-year-old, who trained with Jacobite Boxing Club in Nairn, has signed a deal to go professional with Kynoch Boxing Promotions.

Known as The Magician, the Smithton athlete says after fighting at amateur level, he has learned all the skills required to work his magic at professional level.

“This has been in the pipeline for a while but we waited until the end of the season so I could have one more go at the Scottish Amateur title.

“It was important for me to gain more experience before turning professional.

"Signing this deal will give me a chance to take part in more shows and opportunities to get out there fighting.”

Micheletti will have a star studded coaching team behind him including former Inverness professional Gary Cornish, former European Welterweight champion Gary Jacobs and his father and Jacobite Boxing Club head coach Bobby Russell.
