Inverness runner Mhairi Maclennan represents Great Britain at senior level in tomorrow’s World Cross Country Championships in Aarhus in Denmark.

The 24-year-old Edin-burgh University student gained her selection by taking third place in last month’s trial race at Loughborough. She already has one full Great Britain selection at last year’s Great Edinburgh Cross Country, but this is her biggest honour to date.

Maclennan began running at Inverness Harriers and made her international debut for Scottish Schools, before moving to Edinburgh in 2013. She is now coached by former Olympian Helen Clitheroe.
