John Macaskill leaves a big hole to fill at Clachnacuddin says manager Sandy McLeod as midfielder ends career after 13 years at the club





JOHN Macaskill will leave a big hole to fill in the middle of Clachnacuddin’s midfield, says boss Sandy McLeod.

The 35-year-old played his final game for the Lilywhites on Wednesday night in a 3–0 defeat to Formartine United at Grant Street Park.

Macaskill is retiring from playing football after accepting a job as head ghillie at the River Conon which requires him to work six days a week for six to seven months of the year.

McLeod paid tribute to Macaskill, saying he showed leadership qualities on the pitch which he wants his other players to take note of.
