LOVAT are looking to stay at the top of the Premiership when they head to Lochaber at Spean Bridge.

Full points for the Kiltarlity side would hoist them on to the eight point mark with champions

Newtonmore languishing in the bottom half of the table on two points ahead of their clash at

Balgate next weekend.

Manager Fraser Gallacher will not be getting ahead of himself with his focus fixed firmly on tomorrow’s clash against Michael Delaney’s side.

“We have scored 21 goals in five games so we know that we will cause Lochaber problems,” he said.

“With the pace and the movement that we have up front I think teams are still trying to figure out how to cope best with us.

He added: “It will be difficult to choose who we will put in the starting 12.

“In previous years the team has picked itself but it is good to have a number of different bodies available.

“Lochaber are a sticky team, they have some good players and beat us at Balgate which ended our title challenge last season.

“We know not to underestimate them.

“But we have the stickwork and ability upfront to cause them problems.”

Kingussie are level on points with Lovat and tomorrow face a difficult task when they take on Oban Camanachd at the Dell.

Kinlochshiel are still looking for their first win of the season when they face Inveraray at the Winterton.

Manager Johnston Gill has been alarmed at his side’s inconsistent performances as ‘Shiel look to rediscover the form which ,took them to the title in 2017.

Meanwhile in the MacTavish Cup Kilmallie take on Newtonmore and Strathglass and Inverness meet in a rearranged tie at Cannich.

Strathglass are mourning the ,death of John Stirling a club stalwart

and former president.

He died suddenly at his home in Conon Bridge last Friday aged 79.

In the National Division Beauly travel to Skye while promotion rivals Glasgow Mid Argyll and Fort William meet at Yoker.
