LOCH Ness Football Club will not be competing in the North Caledonian League next season after deciding to withdraw from the competition.
Both the club and the North Caledonian Football Association have confirmed that Loch Ness will not be competing next season after it was revealed they are not one of the 12 teams entered to play next season.
Loch Ness chairman Shane Carling confirmed the club has withdrawn from North Caledonian Football Association competitions, but was unable to offer further comment at present.
The club first entered the league in 2020, and won the North Caledonian League in the 2022/23 campaign.
Loch Ness originally played at Canal Park in Inverness when it entered the North Caledonian League, but later relocated to King George V Park in Fortrose.
It has been confirmed 12 teams will be taking part in the North Caledonian League next season.
The teams include Alness United, Bonar Bridge, Bunillidh Thistle, Clachnacuddin ‘A’, Fort William, Golspie Sutherland, Halkirk United, Invergordon, Inverness Athletic, Orkney, St Duthus and Thurso.
The new North Caledonian League season will begin on Saturday, August 17.
At the AGM, Niall Harkiss has been elected as league president with Sandy Stephen vice-president and Iain Whitehead appointed secretary with Euain Penny re-elected as treasurer.
