Greg Lobban and Rory Stewart lose in men's doubles semi final at Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and will go into bronze medal match

Greg Lobban's medal hopes at the Commonwealth Games remain in the balance after the former Inverness Tennis and Squash Club member, alongside Rory Stewart, was knocked out of the men's doubles semi final.
Up against English duo Adrian Waller and Daryl Selby, the Scots lost the first set 11–8.
The second threatened to turn into a procession as England took a 5–0 lead, but Lobban and Stewart fought back valiantly to win the second 11–8.
It was a tense affair in the third, with plenty of lets and remonstrations with the referees, and neither pair was able to gain a clear advantage early on.
Midway through the decisive set, though, England opened up a three-point advantage, and Scotland could not recover – eventually losing it 11–6.
The result means Lobban and Stewart will have to win a bronze medal match if they are to leave Birmingham with any hardware.
That match will take place tomorrow, with the Scottish pair facing either England's James Willstrop and Declan James or Malaysia's Ng Eain Yow and Ivan Yuen – whoever is victorious in the other semi final later today.
Lobban has already gone further in the men's doubles than he did in either of the other two squash competitions.
In the mixed doubles, Lobban was knocked out by his wife in the quarter finals, while in the men's singles draw Lobban was beaten by Indian third seed Saurav Ghosal, who ended up claiming bronze.
