Nairn golfer Sandy Scott has qualified into the matchplay round of the US Amateur Golf Championship.

The 21-year-old, who studied at Texas Tech University made it through the 36-hole qualifying stage at Bandon Dunes in Oregon after tieing for 36th place.

He is currently competing in the Last 64 against Amercian golfer Brayden Garrison.
