Inverness City Lions called up for international duty

Inverness City Lions Owen Heddle and Marie Morrison hope to jump Scotland up to a higher level of international competition.

The pair will represent their country at the FIBA Under-16 European Division C Championships.

Heddle (16) is heading to Albania with his team beginning their competition on Sunday.

Morrison (16) will travel with the national women’s team to Moldova when their campaign starts on Tuesday.

The pair were invited along for trials by Basketball Scotland in December.

They were both selected for their training squads and have travelled down to the central belt most weekends during 2019 to train.
