League leaders will stay grounded

Lovat manager Fraser Gallacher is refusing to get carried away about his team’s title chances despite a perfect start to the Premiership season.

The Kiltarlity club thrashed Kinlochshiel 5–0 last Saturday with defending champions Newtonmore suffering a shock 2-0 home defeat to newly promoted Kilmallie.

Despite being top of the table on goal difference, Gallacher says his players must remain grounded as they travel to Oban Camanachd tomorrow.

“The more points everybody else drops, the better for us,” he said.

“But there are 17 games to go and there are some good teams in the league."
