Innes Bar C and Portland A at the top of Inverness Winter Darts League

Another round of the Innes Bar Inverness Winter Darts League matches took place last week and already the league tables have a familiar look to them.

Innes Bar C and Portland A are level at the top of the A League with the Innes slightly ahead on legs won. Portland defeated Still Game 8-4 while the Innes C had a 12-0 walkover against the struggling Innes Spikeys.

Nairn’s Seaforth Club recorded an 8-4 win overBattlefield Bullies and move up to second equal in the table with East End Arrows who had a convincing 10-2 victory over Tarradale.

In the B League Smithton Hotel and Castle Street Elite are the frontrunners with both sides still unbeaten but they are due to face each other next week.

Smithton defeated the Canteen 8-4 and Castle Street also had an 8-4 win over Innes Bar.

Innes Power moved up to third place in the league after their 9-3 win against the British Legion.

147 Buddies top the C League after their 9-3 win over the Keppoch Belles.

Raigmore and Arrowsmiths are joint second on four points having played one less game than the league leaders. Arrowsmiths defeated So Bar Pirates 9-3, Chieftain Storm took their first ever Inverness League points with a 7-5 victory against Innes X.

Maximums this week came from Marc Henderson (East End Arrows), Alan Mackinnon (Tarradale), Ali Ross (Tarradale), Chris Birrell (Portland A), Tommy Macdonald (Still Game),Kenny Maclean (Seaforth Club), Gregg Lobban (147 Buddies).

The top checkouts came from Andrew Davidson (Still Game) 148, Tommy Macdonald (Still Game) 146, Rab Thorburn (Seaforth Club) 126, Nicky Denoon (Portland A) 111, Stuart Murray (Castle Street Elite) 110 Dave MacGruer (Tarradale) and Richard Boyd (Battlefield Bullies) both had 15 dart legs.
