Determined Charleston Academy Knights win Highland Bowl for first time

Charleston Academy Knights were finally able to claim the Highland Bowl shield when they triumphed in the 2020 competition.

Reduced numbers meant that only three teams took part this year, but the Knights showed their quality the whole way through, winning every game.

League organiser Robbie Paulin had said in the past that the Knights had the most experienced team in the league this time around, and he believes there was an extra motivation from their players and coaches to right the wrongs of previous years.

“They were the ones, they had kind of been building up to it for a few years,” Paulin explained.

“Their head coach was determined this year, because I think he’s been in the final three or four times and he was determined to win it this year."
