Inverness's Glasgow Warriors back Paddy Kelly is set to make his Scotland 7s debut at the World Rugby Sevens Series in New Zealand next weekend.

Kelly is the single uncapped member of the 13-man squad after replacing Scott Bickerstaff in head coach Ciaran Beattie's only change.

The 24-year-old is a former under-20 international, and received the prestigious Macphail Scholarship in 2016.

He joins a squad who played well in the last tournament in South Africa last month, where Scotland reached the quarter finals before losing to eventual winners New Zealand.

They will come up against the All-Blacks again next weekend, with the two sides drawn in the same group as Wales and the USA.

First up for Scotland will be the Americans in the early hours of Saturday, January 25, before playing Wales later that day.

New Zealand are then the final group test for Beattie's side not long after midnight the following day.
