Inverness Caledonian Thistle attacking midfielder James Keatings is free to play in the Tunnock's Caramel Wafer Challenge Cup final after his ban was overturned.

The 28-year-old was shown a second yellow card for simulation by referee Greg Aitken in the semi final against Rangers Colts, a decision which Caley Thistle immediately said they would appeal.

A Scottish FA fast-track tribunal then upheld the suspension – a decision that prompted outcry from fans, pundits and clubs alike.

It later emerged that the proper procedure had not been followed, so the FA ruled that the initial hearing's decision was invalid, with the case being heard again this morning.

Keatings is now available to play in the final against Raith Rovers on Saturday, March 28 at St Johnstone's McDiarmid Park.
