Caley Thistle won their appeal against Keatings’ second yellow card for simulation he received in the Challenge Cup semi final against Rangers Colts.

The midfielder controversially lost his original appeal against the second booking after a three-man panel agreed with referee Greg Aitken’s call that he dived in the semi final clash.

But the previous decision was ruled invalid after the judicial panel failed to implement its duties correctly and did not consider all the evidence that was available.

Speaking for the first time since the incident, Keatings admitted he thought there would be no chance to overturn the appeal.
