David Joel is crowned Inverness Golf Club champion after defeating Kieran MacKay in the final

David Joel held his nerve to win the Inverness Golf Club Championship with two holes to spare.

He defeated Kieran Mackay 4/2 in the final at the Culcabock course yesterday.

Joel defeated Brian Gribben 1up in the last 16, Steven Paterson 3/2 in the quarter final and Michael Ross 3/2 in the semi final on his way to winning the trophy.

Meanwhile Alistair Fraser won the handicap title defeating Alan Fraser on the 18th by 2up.
