Inverness teenager selected to compete for Scotland at major competition





INVERNESS Harriers athlete Katie Meek has been called up to the Scotland squad to compete in a major hill running event.

She will be competing in the under-20 squad at the Junior Home International at Glendalough in Ireland on Saturday, September 14.

The Junior Home Countries International also incorporates the British and Irish Mountain Running Championships.

Meek was the women’s champion at the Inverness 5k which took place back in March.

Ross County athlete Lachlan Thomas, who won the Inverness 5k men’s title this year, has been selected in the under-17 squad.
