Inverness teenager named Scottish Young Sportswoman of the Year

Inverness teenager Megan Keith continued an incredible 2019 after being named Scottish Young Sportswoman of the Year.

The 17-year-old received the accolade at the Scottish Women in Sport Awards in Glasgow.

She received the award after winning gold for Great Britain in the women's relay at the Junior World Orienteering Championships.

She also won a gold medal for Great Britain in the individual sprint at the European Orienteering Championships.

In addition, Keith also won the River Ness 10k in Inverness in her first ever race over the distance.

She claimed the title in a time of 34 minutes 41 seconds beating her nearest competitor by 29 seconds.
