Inverness teenager finishes in top ten in international road race

MEGAN Keith finished in ninth place at the Armagh International Road Race in Northern Ireland tonight.

The 17-year-old Millburn Academy pupil completed the 3km course in a time of nine minutes and 24 seconds.

The race was won by Anna Emilie Moller from Denmark in 8:58.

England's Alexandra Bell was second in 9:06 with fellow English athlete Amy Griffiths third in 9:09.

Inverness Harrier athlete Jenny Bannerman finished 21st in 9:34.

In the men's 3km competition, Fortrose teenager Lucas Cairns finished 18th in 8:55.

The race was won by Matthew Neill in 8:37 with Danny Mooney and Eskander Turki joint second in 8:41.
