Inverness Royal Academy smash Hamilton College in Scottish Secondary Schools Tennis Team Championships





INVERNESS Royal Academy smashed their way to victory in the second round of the Scottish Secondary Schools Tennis Team Championships with a 6–0 victory over Hamilton College at Bellfield Park.

Elliot Burke, Finlay Leitch, Ryan McArthur and Sandy McWilliam who are all members of Bellfield Park Tennis Club, won their four single and two double matches.

It is the fourth year the school has competed in the tournament but only played their first home tie in the competition this week.

Inverness Royal Academy will find out their quarter final opponents later this year.

Coach Lizzy Burke says it was an impressive performance from the school team.

She said: "They were great matches and very competitive."

Bellfield Park are also running tennis camps during the Easter holidays to find the next generation of tennis stars in Inverness.
