Inverness ice skating team celebrate becoming Scottish champions in Dumfries





ICE skaters from Inverness took on the best teams from across the UK when they competed at Trophy D’Ecosse.

Highland Synchronized Ice Skating Teams travelled down to Dumfries to compete in the prestigious competition.

The Inverness club had three teams which competed that included Aurora in Basic Novice, Northern Lights in Mixed Age and Highlanders in the adult category.

Aurora came third overall with a personal best score and as the highest scoring Scottish team in their category were also crowned Scottish Champions.

Northern Lights finish in fourth place in their category.

Northern Lights came fourth in an extremely competitive group having a fantastic start to the season.

Highlanders came third in the adult category after an eventful official practice where one of the skaters, broke her skate and had to borrow a pair to get back on the ice!

All the teams are now back in training for the British Championships in Nottingham next month.
