Inverness Highlanders Junior Ice Hockey Club receive nearly £7000 from National Lottery

Inverness Highlanders Junior Ice Hockey Club received £6786 from The National Lottery Community Fund in partnership with sportscotland.

They were one of five groups in the city which received grants of almost £27,000.

Head coach of Inverness Highlanders Junior Ice Hockey Club Steven Innes, said: “This funding is going to make such a difference and really help our club get back on the ice as soon as possible.

“Making our new starts sessions pay what you can is a great way to help families try out this fun sport, and there will be lots of new equipment to borrow as well."

Also receiving funding are Inverness Shinty Club (£6720), Inverness Tennis and Squash Club (£6000),Inverness Skating and Ice Dance Club (£3273) and Merkinch Football Academy (£4000).
