Inverness horse riders win British Show Jumping awards

THREE Inverness riders were honoured at the British Show Jumping Awards Ball in Birmingham.

In the Scottish clubs category, Inverness Royal Academy pupil Dian Haldane (15) won the award for juniors 70cm show jumping with her horse Brandy Dancer.

Meanwhile her sister Alannah Haldane (17) who attends UHI, won two awards, one for seniors 90cm show jumping and in one metre show jumping with her horse Benvolio V.

Also, Charleston Academy pupil Emilia Allison (13) won two awards for 80cm junior show jumping and 90cm junior show jumping with her fell pony Townend Misty.

Meanwhile at the Horse Of the Year Show in Birmingham in October, Katie Common placed sixth at the final riding Dunedin Mascot.

Rhianna Gilmour riding Heather Jock of Fourmerk also competed at the event.
