Inverness doctor selected for Scotland to compete at major international race

Highland Cross champion Catriona Graves has been called up to the Scotland squad to compete at a major international hill running event.

The Highland Hill Runners athlete has been selected to run for Scotland at Trofeo Nasego in Italy later this month.

She is one of eight athletes to be selected to compete at the race which takes place on August 31.

Graves is a two-time champion of the Highland Cross, a 50-mile cycling and running duathlon which takes place between Kintail and Beauly.

Graves first won the Highland Cross in 2023 and successfully defended her title in June.

Also called up to the squad is Edderton athlete Ross Gollan from East Sutherland Athletics Club.

Gollan has competed for Scotland in international hill running competitions in the past.

He won the Highland Cross in 2022 and 2023.
