Graeme Gillespie was Lions top scorer with 28 points with Maciej Splawski hitting 19 points and Luke Seago 18 points in a ruthless performance at Millburn Academy.

The victory keeps Inverness in fourth place and in the play-off zone requiring to stay in the top four to have a chance of winning promotion.

Head coach John Kerray said: "We had a full squad on Saturday and were able to rotate the bench giving us fresh legs on court for the whole game. We played a uptempo full court trap defence and fast break offence which gave us high percentage baskets as we were finishing at the basket.

"We had a season high 42 per cent shooting percentage.

"Everyone was on form and it was a very enjoyable game to coach.

"Glasgow City played well, but with a short bench and our offence on fire they were never in the game.

"This win keeps us in the race for play off qualification."

Lions head down to Bathgate to face West Lothian Wolves on Saturday where Kerray says victory is impeartive.

"The players are confident and up for the challenge, we know we need to beat the big teams if we want to qualify for the play-offs."
