In a close encounter, only two points separated the teams at half time.

But Inverness took control in the second half to record a 16-point victory. Owen Heddle was the top scorer with 15 points.

Head coach John Kerray said: “The first half was evenly matched with both teams scoring freely.

“We knew they would not be able to keep up the pace in the second as they only had seven players.”

Inverness head to Edinburgh to take on Heriot Watt on Saturday in their final league game on Saturday.

They will travel to Stirling Knights in the semi final play-offs on Saturday, March 14
