After a poor start to the campaign, Inverness are turning their season around, scoring 18 goals in their last two matches.

A 6–0 win over Dunfermline Athletic in the previous game came after a 12–2 thrashing of Grampian at the Caledonian Stadium.

They now face Stonehaven who are languishing near the bottom of the table.

Mason is challenging her players to go and prove the statistics right with a comfortable victory at Inverness Royal Academy this weekend.

“The three points and trying to improve our performances is what is most important to us.

“Banging in lots of goals is something we don’t necessarily learn from.

“We are hoping for an improved performance and a clean sheet.

“Any goals that do come our way will be a bonus.”

Caley Thistle have a game in hand on the top two Montrose and East Fife and Mason says it is vital her team keep picking up wins to ensure they don’t lose sight of their title ambitions.

“We know we need to pick up those three points and close the gap,” she said.

“We know that we need a strong performance to help claw Montrose, East Fife and Dryburgh Athletic back.”
Caley Thistle will be missing some key players for Sunday’s match including Charlie Arrowsmith who is on duty with the RAF.

Nicola Ross and Emily Twaddle are also missing due to work commitments but Mason says she has faith in the strength of her squad to do what is required on Sunday.

“We have enough players this season where we will be able to cover with a strong enough squad going forward,” she said.

The match kicks off at Inverness Royal Academy at 2.30pm.
