Inverness Caledonian Thistle sign goalkeeper on loan from Dundee United

Inverness Caledonian Thistle have confirmed that they have signed goalkeeper Jack Newman on loan from Dundee United until the end of the season.

The-22-year-old, progressed through the Academy at Sunderland before signing for Dundee United in July 2020. He has had loan spells with The Spartans and Peterhead and has been capped for Scotland at Under-21s level.

It is the club’s second signing of the new campaign following the club confirming signing striker Cameron Ferguson on a one-year deal.

Ferguson was released by Newcastle United in January and trained with Inverness Caledonian Thistle last season, but was unable to sign for the club. He signed a short term deal with Highland League club Forres Mechanics last season.

It has also been confirmed academy graduates Keith Bray, Ethan Cairns, Calum Mackay, Matthew Strachan and Robbie Thompson have all signed new deals with the club for the 2024/25 season.

The club have also said negotiations with a number of other players will continue this week, and next, and hope to make further announcements in the coming days.
