Anthony McDonald, who was on loan at Caley Thistle last season, gave Hearts the lead in the 20th minute at Tynecastle.

But Middlesbrough loanee Mitch Curry equalised with 12 minutes to go for Inverness.

Before the game, Beith was given a guard of honour and was applauded by the fans in attendance.

Beith joined Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the summer of 2018 as part of a deal where Jake Mulraney went to Hearts.

But due to a hip injury, he failed to make a single appearance for Inverness and was forced to retire at 23.
